WebBecause of high variations in stress do to different reed motions they didn't have a good analytical model for reed life. He did however say that fiberglass reeds should be inspected every 100 hours and replaced if chipped, and steel reeds should be replaced every 300 hours regardless of condition.

This gasket is recommended (at a minimum), you will be unbolting the Air Attenuator Assembly, and the reed block from the engine.
